Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is a welcoming, neurodiversity-affirming community celebration where every neurotype, every child, and every family can simply be themselves.

Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Alviso Adobe Community Park for an afternoon filled with seasonal discovery, sensory-thoughtful recreation, and meaningful connection. Pack a picnic lunch, bring your family and friends, and enjoy celebrating autumn together in the park!

What Makes It Special: Built for Inclusion from the Ground Up

Traditional community events can often be overwhelming, inaccessible, or treated as “one-size-fits-all.” The Fall Festival is designed differently—created intentionally from the start with multiple entry points, neurodivergent needs, and sensory balance in mind:

  • Quiet Zone in the Garden: Need a break from the sights and sounds? Our community garden serves as a dedicated, low-demand Quiet Zone. Step into our cozy teepee “Quiet Cave” for sensory decompression, or participate in calming, mindful activities like painting a keepsake river rock or garden fence post to leave as your own lasting mark on the Alviso Adobe grounds.
  • Carnival Games & Accessible Play: Enjoy inclusive carnival games designed for all abilities—including classic lawn games, a student-designed scavenger hunt, and oversized, accessible games hosted by our friends at Roll for Inclusion.
  • Fresh Orchard Apple Cider: Experience live cider-pressing demonstrations using fresh apples harvested straight from the Alviso Adobe orchard, paired with seasonal cider tastings.
  • Hands-On Seasonal Stations: Explore natural creativity at your own pace with autumn crafts—from oak gall invisible ink writing hosted by the Hearst Elementary School Garden to custom tote bag decorating with Love & Lotus.
  • The Crow’s Nest Info Hub: Connect with our flock! Learn about upcoming sessions of our Alviso Adobe Garden Collective, explore neuroinclusive programs, sign up to volunteer, or meet the community behind The Crow's Nest.

Our Purpose

The Crow’s Nest exists to cultivate a supportive sanctuary where neurodiversity is celebrated, unique learning styles and support needs are respected, and families find genuine belonging.

The Fall Festival embodies this mission by breaking down social barriers and reducing isolation in a fun, natural setting. It provides neurodivergent children, teens, adults, and their families a place to connect with their community with dignity, autonomy, and unconditional acceptance—all while enjoying the very best of autumn together.
